But it looks like Catherine Zeta-Jones is finally finding something to smile about as she stepped out in New York.
The busy actress, who is currently working on two films, looked happy and summery as she left her Manhattan home yesterday. 
Wearing a floral top, white jeans and espadrilles wedges, the 41-year-old looked relaxed as she chatted to her assistant.
Carrying two suitcases with her, it's likely Zeta-Jones was either headed to Miami or Las Vegas - where her current films Rock Of Ages and Lay The Favourite are currently being filmed.
Zeta-Jones is preparing to make her return to the spotlight since she revealed she had been diagnosed with bipolar II disorder. 
On June 12, she will present an award at the Tony Awards in New York - where she won a gong herself last year.
In April, it was announced she had spent several days in a psychiatric hospital in Connecticut.
Although Zeta-Jones has remained relatively silent on her health issue, her husband Michael Douglas praised her for dealing with it so well. 
He told the Orpah Winfrey Show: 'She’s great now, she’s shooting a movie and she’s relived she has a much better understanding because this was not something where she was clearly aware of what was going on.'
Last month, the mother-of-two filmed Playing The Field in Louisiana and now has another two films on the go.
Zeta-Jones stars alongside Bruce Willis in drama-comedy Lay the Favourite and is one of a large ensemble cast in Eighties comedy Rock Of Ages.
