Close friends: Mario Testino will further cement his close working relationship with Kate Moss next month when he is the official photographer at her wedding
Mario Testino is one of the UK's most famous photographers. Over his 30 year career he has become a royal family favourite, and this summer he will be taking the photos at the second biggest wedding of the year - Kate Moss'.
But the Peruvian has never taken his British connections for granted - particularly those to Lady Diana and her children.
Testino told the Telegraph that he is always asked who his favourite subject has been and always gives the same answer: 'It would have to be Princess Diana, it took my career to another level.'
His reputation was further boosted when Prince William and his wife-to-be, Catherine, asked the photographer to take their official - and yet refreshingly informal - engagement photos.
But Testino said that being asked who his favourite muse was was like asking a parent of five to pick their number one child.
'Kate Moss has been one of my favourites for a long time,' Testino said. 'I have worked a lot with her.
'I think I have managed to document her through the 20 years that we have worked together. But there are many people like that: Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, it is hard to pick just one.'
Testino will further be cementing his relationship with Kate Moss next month when he will be taking the photographs at her wedding to The Kills rocker Jamie Hince.
He says he cannot wait to 'capture the happiness that Kate is going through.' As well as further boosting his connections to the UK.

'England is the country where I learned my profession. They are the ones that trained me they are the ones that believed in me. I owe a lot to your country.
'For me photographing the Royals is my way of giving back to the country: documenting this tradition and the history.
'For a Peruvian - apart from Paddington Bear - there are very few of us that can be a part of it. I feel very attached to the English.'
