Elie Saab – Paris Fashion Week FW11
Elie Saab is already rapidly making a name for himself worldwide. He is known for dressing the likes of Katy Perry, Beyonce, Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry amongst many other A-listers. After seeing yet another extravagant collection showcased at Paris Fashion Week one can understand why his celebrity client list appears so infinite.
The Lebanese designer has tended to use lighter tones this season, trending the beige colour which elongates the body and lengthens the legs when worn with nude coloured heels.
His glitzy touch to the dresses transformed the evening gowns giving the models a royal desert queen look. In contrast, and perhaps the highlight of his showcase, Elie did also present gloriously seductive dresses. Two in particular stood out, both in red- one a slightly more bolder tone and the other a deeper red wine colour. The dresses not only had a powerful presence whilst on the catwalk but moreover had a velvet-like quality that was enhanced by the excellent movement of the material.
Valentin Yudashkin – Paris Fashion Week FW11
This Fall of Winter, Valentin showcased an array of beautiful designs in his collection. Pieces could be described as a dynamic sunset in the sky. Striking dresses screamed mango yellow, orange, sky blue and jet black. It also seems like Jessie J isn’t the only one who has taken a fancy for flamboyant tights!
Valentin proves that contrast tights work well- in this example red against yellow and blue. It is no surprise to hear that the French value Valentin’s quality talent. He is the only Russian designer ever to be awarded the privilege of having a membership of the Syndicate of High Fashion in Paris! Superstar thinks Valentin sure is THE fashion icon to follow this year!
Shiatzy Chen – Paris Fashion Week FW11
Kooky Taiwanese chic, Shiatzy Chen has embraced her spectacular eastern flow and emerged it into the most amazing designs for Paris Fashion Week. Jewel colours- turquoise, fuchsia and sapphire blue are in!
Plaited buns also seem to be trending. Shiatzy has brought Spring’s floral patterns into this collection to carry out the trend into winter too. Intricate rose patterns on dresses and complex pristine floral patterns could be seen on her jackets.
Eskimo fur-style coats and stoles also graced the catwalk. Like Elie, Shiatzy’s dresses have a suttle shimmer to the material and showcased a stunning set of purple dresses including one head turner of a dress in a metallic graphite shade!
Leonard – Paris Fashion Week FW11
Mosaic, triangle and square prints, golden glow make-up, lush leather hand-bags and clutches – Leonard makes high-waisted long fluid tailored skirts and polo necks glamorous! Sheer class, Leonard combines excellent designs and bold accessories to produce a mature yet youthful outlook. Exaggerated zips, cool PVC boots and clean cut high neck collars are definitely a hot look this season which Superstar predicts will be trending very soon come this Autumn/Winter!
