Tanushree Dutta is a Bengali bombshell waiting to explode. Dutta, who is back on the silver screen after a gap of almost two years with the horror flick Rokkk, said in an interview that she was unduly stereotyped as mere eye candy who could do nothing but ‘hot and sultry’ roles. The 29-year-old actress was born on March 19, 1981. Tanushree was born and brought up in Jamshedpur and went on to do her graduation from Pune.
In 2004 she participated in the Miss India contest and was crowned Miss India Universe. Tanushree represented India at the Miss Universe pageant in 2004. Tanushree was one of the 80 contestants at the 53rd Miss Universe held at Quito, Ecuador. Though she didn’t win the crown, Tanushree made it to the final 10 in the contest. She made her Bollywood debut with the 2005 film Aashiq Banaya Aapne.
